ReSeeD User Guide (CRC1280-specific)
Terms
The following terms are used in this user guide.
-
work (dataset): This is the fundamental content entity in ReSeed. A work is represented in ReSeed by a metadata record, together with zero or more files. A work (dataset) can have one of the following statuses:
- draft: When a work is first deposited, it automatically has draft status, and is not publicly available.
- published: The depositor of a work can request that it be published, subject to approval. When a work is published, it becomes publicly available. It is also given a DOI (from Datacite)
- archived: Instead of publishing a work, the depositor can request that it be archived. Archived works are kept in ReSeed but are not accessible to the public
Adding a new experiment
(Please note that the person who actually saves the new work (dataset) is legally the "depositor" under the Terms of Use)
From your User Dashboard, click "Collections" in the grey sidebar on the left, then "Managed Collections" in the tabs icon the right, then click on "CRC1280 Extinction Learning" in the list. You will then see the collection page for "CRC1280 Extinction Learning", including a list of the available "Groups". Click on your group and you will see the main page of your group in ReSeeD, where all the experiments in your group are listed. On the right-hand side of the page you will see a row of blue buttons, including one labelled "ADD NEW EXPERIMENT". Click on this button.
Fill in the form, making sure you complete the required fields (marked with a blue label: "Required"). On the right-hand side you will see the button "Save dataset (work)". Please note that the visibility "Private" is preselected and cannot be changed when creating the experiment. The visibility - which can be either private or public is automatically set by the system depending on the status (draft, published or archived) of the work.
Read and check the button for "I have read and agree to the Deposit Agreement". Click the "Files" tab to add folder or files from your PC. Click the black button: "ADD FOLDER" or ADD FILES" and select files from your PC.
Finally, click the blue button: "SAVE". A view of the new experiment is displayed, with a green notification message saying; "Your files are being processed by ReSeeD in the background.
